Finola Gaynor is an educator, designer and an artist, specialising in art and design education. She is a co-director of ICAW, which forms part of Wales Arts International.

Her passion for creative arts education is significant and her work, commentaries and thoughts have been published in national and international press and has been recognised with a variety of awards including: Ravensbourne, Blueprint, Computer Arts, Higher Education Academy: Subject Centre Art and Design, Apple European Summit and dOCUMENTA (12). In addition, she has worked as an art and design education specialist in Kuala Lumper, Maylasia, Tokyo and Hamamatsu, Japan, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Nicosia, Cyprus, Stockholm, Sweden, Poznan, Poland and New York and Chicago, US.

Her contribution and commitment to the creatives arts includes committee membership of the following: Typography Circle, British Design Innovation (BDI), Design for Social Change, Sustainable Design Higher, Education Academy, National Teaching Fellowship Scheme and CUMULUS.
