Employer engagement is now regarded as an integral element of the student experience in Higher Education, and the aim of this ‘swap-shop’ is to showcase examples of best practice in using employer engagement to enhance learning and teaching.
The focus of the event is on the demonstrable utilisation of employer engagement in indicative areas such as learning and teaching, module design, work placement, work-based learning, guest speakers, research and consultancy, and assessment.
The aim is to showcase a range of practical examples and therefore sessions will be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes. A provisional programme for the conference is outlined below.

Due to the challenging economic climate, the Cass Sculpture Foundation is pleased to announce that it will not be charging VAT on purchases of monumental sculpture and maquettes made during the coming winter months, until the Foundation re-opens to the public in April 2009.
The Foundation is open by appointment throughout the winter months, and private visits can be arranged to view the pieces currently for sale on the grounds by contacting one of our staff members.
Monumental sculptures from artists such as Tony Cragg, Bill Woodrow and Eduardo Paolozzi are examples of the pieces which are currently available under this new scheme. Additionally, VAT will not be applicable on purchases of maquettes by artists such as Eilís O’Connell, Sean Henry and Zadok Ben-David available through our online boutique.
